Party for the Planet Gandy Beach Clean-up in Memory of Jim Igler
Coalition partner, The Florida Aquarium, is hosting this cleanup event. We will be collecting debris and trash along the beautiful waterfront area of Gandy Beach. Please feel free to bring your paddle boards or Kayaks or you can rent them from Urban Kai!
Please park at the South West end of Gandy Beach and locate the Florida Aquarium's Tent for registration.
Registration: begins at 8:30 a.m.
Cleanup: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
What to Wear/Bring:
Closed-toe shoes
Hat/Sunglasses
Long pants are recommended but not necessary.
Reusable water bottle (water coolers to refill your water bottles will be provided, single-use water bottles will NOT)
Reef-safe Sunscreen/bugspray
Kayak or paddle board if you want to help clean the mangroves on the waterfront.
We Will Provide:
Gloves
Debris collection devices (bags or buckets, as appropriate)
Water coolers to refill your water bottle
All participants will receive a voucher for 50% off admission to The Florida Aquarium!
All participants will be required to sign a release of liability waiver prior to assisting with the clean-up. PARTICIPANTS UNDER 16 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT OR GUARDIAN.
