UPDATE: In order to accommodate more of you and our business community, we are switching this event to Black Crow’s Grand Central location from 1:30-3:30pm. See you there!
St. Pete Businesses are reducing single-use plastics, and you can help!
After more than a year of discussions between environmentalists, scientists, city staff, residents, businesses, and elected officials, St. Pete City Council approved an ordinance banning single-use plastic straws city-wide and expanded polystyrene (EPS or Styrofoam) on public property (city parks and sidewalks mostly).
During 2019 we are making sure every business is educated on these regulations and have time to explore other options. Join us at Florida’s First Zero-Waste Certified Coffee Shop to become an educator on this subject. After the short training, you’ll be partnered up and deployed out into the community to talk with businesses.
