Receiving a platinum ocean friendly certification means a business is truly committed to being environmentally conscious. For Cider Press Café, we met all of the mandatory and optional criteria that Suncoast Rise Above Plastics identifies as being best practices for being ocean friendly. Naturally, vegan and vegetarian meals are friendly to our oceans and environments. However, we also only provide paper straws on request, and we do not provide take-out orders in Styrofoam, plastic bags or serve beverages in plastic bottles. Cider Press Café was also recognized for its energy efficiency choices in lighting and kitchen appliances and we provide a discount for bringing your own reusable containers.
